You can make your own feed with these items, by also adding Fretrell’s Poutlry Organic Nuti-balancer and our GMO Free corn and/or Soy Beans.

Buy it from us (Buxton Feed) already already made for you at just $ 23.50/50 lb sack at 16% protein for layer’s.

We can also do a broiler or chick feed as well…or any other type of breed of livestock either as a crumble,

Poultry Feeds for hens or Broilers

Buxton Feed over the last few years has developed some nice poultry feeds based on our customer inputs and suggestions. This spring we are also using organic grains in the feed as they become available to be added. But we can’t afford to have our milling process certified organic, so the feed can’t be called “Organic”.

Our price for using organic grains in our poutlry feed is $ 23.50/50lb bag. This feed can be a pellet or crumble or a mash (corn will be course ground for mash feeds).

The other thing that makes it not quit a true organic, is we use GMO free corn and soy beans in our mixes. If Soy is an issue to some folks, then we replace the soy with dairy safe fish meal. We can also use your grains to make the feed for poultry or ours. We also add to each mix of poultry feed Fertrell’s Organic Nutri-Balncer for Poultry.

That’s right! You can actually be a lot more effective than O’bama!

for every dollar we bring in to our feed store, cause a ripple effect in Buxton Oregon. For each dallor spent, we then generate seven more dollars through the community and region. You dollar helps in the following ways:

Buxton Christian school
Time gas station
Banks Hardware
Jim’s grocery
Garbage pickup
Land O’ Lakes in Portland
Concentrates in Portland

And the list just goes on. So if the dollars are not spent then we can’t add those same type dollars to our community, and other places. It so important to shop local, and buy local, as this is where your community gets the real benefits of our feed store.

Stop by and compare our prices, as I am sure you will be surprised that they are in-line with other pricing at feed stores. Sometimes we are the same or a little lower and a little higher. But the end effect is that buying local really keeps dollars in our area to be used by other merchants and families.

If we continue to spend dollars outside of the cummunity, then we will all suffer the effect. There is lot in the terms of Buy Fresh / Buy Local!

New Shipment of Empty Feed Barrels

We just got some new feed barrels that have a top lid and a nice outer screw on top. These barrels should be moisture proof. We have them listed at $30.00/ea, and as supplies last this month we are offering a $5.00 discount from the pruchase price making them a good buy at $ 25.00/ea.

We have devloped a Chicken feed mash that contains whole grains of Peas, oats, wheat, rolled barley, red clover screenings, & course cracked corn. We include fish meal for the protein, Pacific Oyster shells for calcium, and Fretell’s Nutribalancer Organic Poultry to round out this blend of good quality feed.

The feed is priced at $ 18.99/50 lb bag, or you can bring in your own container and fill it from our bottomless barrel at $ 0.32/lb

About Buxton Feed Company:
Buxton Feed is a small family owned feed mill located in Buxton Or. We started the feed mill in 2001. We intended to make our own cattle feed. As people learned of our operation the demand for quality livestock feed was realized. In response to this need, we have formulated several feed products based upon customer requirements and input.

How it all started:
In 2000 our oldest son was attending Eastern Oregon University for a
Oregon State University degree in Agri-Business. He was always trying to find things we could do on our small farm in western Washington county. He stumbled across an advertisement in the local farming newspaper (Capitol Press) for an entire livestock pellet mill that was disassembled just outside of a small community along the southern Oregon coast.
